Explore the vibrant and meaningful Khetane Festival, a unique event first held in the Pata Rât area of Cluj-Napoca. “Khetane” means “together” in Romani, embodying the festival’s goal of uniting communities and bridging gaps, particularly with the Roma community living in Pata Rât. This festival, exceeding organizers’ expectations, drew around 1,600 attendees who enjoyed live music, a fashion show, and thought-provoking talks and debates.
Highlights included performances by IMPEX, DJ Plastic, Alex de la Cluj, and Prințesa de Aur, a memorable contestant from the 2016 X Factor Romania. Attendees and performers alike praised the festival’s positive atmosphere and community spirit, despite the typically challenging circumstances of the Pata Rât area. The festival also provided an opportunity for public dialogue, attended by social leaders, politicians, and activists, though notable absences were observed among official representatives
